I’m Looking For Guest Posts!

Hey guys!  So with Author’s Canvas coming up on it’s three month anniversary, I decided we should celebrate with some guest posts!  I always love to hear what you all share with me in the comments and on your own blogs, so I would love for you to use this blog as your own personal “canvas” (cheesy and cliché I know, I know….) to share your writing, programming, or other posts!

I am looking for guest posts that primarily focus on technical writing or programming.  However, these two can be very broad topics and so here are some guidelines for your convenience.

Please note that while I will read all posts, I cannot feasibly share all of them on the blog, and I am looking for guest posts that will fit in with the theme of Author’s Canvas.  Here are some ideas and links of what I’m looking for:

-Technical Writing Samples or Advice

-Web Admin Tutorials (CSS, HTML, Apache, etc.)

-Programming Languages (JavaScript, Python, UML, etc.)

-Architecture Modeling Samples or Tutorials

-Career Building Tips (building a career in technical writing, software development, IT, etc.)

-Anything else you’d like to share that you feel would pertain to this blog

Any of the above topics are themes that will fit great on Author’s Canvas…..here’s what NOT to submit:

-Adult Content

-Writing that contains profanity, vulgar language, or excessive “four-letter” words

-Hateful or offensive comments directed towards Author’s Canvas or other blogs

-Unproductive Criticism (feel free to express your opinion, but be polite and professional)

-Writing or imagery that expresses strong racial, political, or contradictory views that could be taken offensively by some readers

-Any Content that is not appropriate for ALL ages (Author’s Canvas is not restricted to any readers based upon age so please be conscientious)

The content mentioned above is considered inappropriate for the purposes of Author’s Canvas, and any such content received will not be featured.

All that being said, here’s how to submit your guest post:

Contact Page (this will send your post to me via email)

-Email directly to: emilyraper@authorscanvas.blog

-Share a link in the comments of THIS post

If you submit your guest post to me via email, either through the contact page or by direct email, I will notify you if I am going to feature your work!  I will be accepting guest posts starting today until April 1st, and will be featuring work throughout that time.  I appreciate any high quality guest posts that I receive!

Thank so much guys!  I am looking forward to reading your posts!

  1. Hi! I am new in this thing (writing, blogging, wordpress..). I have only written one post in my new blog actually! ahaha 🙂 So I’m not trying to get any followers or anything, I just want to see what people think about it. Since I literally made this blog yesterday, this is the only post there but more are coming 🙂
thanks for doing this by the way, for giving authors canvas to write like this 🙂

  2. Emily I could do a guest post in return for one back totally up to you. I will take my time I can write articles on spiritual, psychic, meditations and also ways to earn money articles. Is there any you are interested in I write my own content.

  3. Congratulations… and I love this site! I wrote a post (called “What’s your story?”) a little while back that dealt with creative writing and how it also connects with us in real. It is to inspire readers and writers of fiction that we too experience the hero’s journey. The link: https://rhiagadley.wordpress.com/2017/12/20/whats-your-story/
Not sure if this is 100% accurate to what you are looking for, but hope you at least enjoy reading it 🙂

    1. I made a post yesterday in my Life on the #36 bus, that was made to enter but I don’t know how to send it. It is called “In defense of the pedicure for men.” It is not like my usual stuff because I made it for export to enter. How can I enter it?

  4. Hi Emily!

Maddie here – thanks for a great oppertunity. I’ve been following your writing for a few months now – have learned a tonne. I left you the link to a post that that’s already live I thought might connect with your readership.

Not a problem if it doesn’t quite work, having you read it is incredibly flattering in itself.

Thank you and keep up the good work!

  5. Hi Emily! That’s a lovely idea 😀 I’m curious to see what you’ll choose! (Might throw my hat in the ring, if I have something that fits your blog…)

  6. Thank you for the invite. In my previous blog entries, especially in my entries on my Hippie days, bad people I have known or my fathers WWII stories are interesting but I do not do fiction except a couple of jokes. I appreciate the offer but do not qualify. Good luck with your project.

  7. Article for your Guest Post !!

A young lady sat in a bus. At the next stop a loud and grumpy old lady came and sat by her.  She squeezed into the seat and bumped her with her numerous bags.
The person sitting on the other side of the young lady got upset, asked her why she did not speak up and say something.
The young lady responded with a smile:
“It is not necessary to be rude or argue over something so insignificant, the journey together is so short. I get off at the next stop.”
This response deserves to be written in golden letters:
“It is not necessary to argue over something so insignificant, our journey together is so short”
If each one of us realized that our time here is so short; that to darken it with quarrels, futile arguments, not forgiving others, discontentment and a fault finding attitude would be a waste of time and energy.
    Did someone break your heart?
Be calm, the journey is so short.
Did someone provoke or intimidate you?
Be calm, forgive; the journey is so short.
Did someone betray, bully, cheat or humiliate you?
Be calm, forgive; the journey is so short.
Whatever troubles anyone brings us, let us remember that “our journey together is so short.”
No one knows the duration of this journey. No one knows when their stop will come. Our journey together is so short.
Let us cherish friends and family. Let us be respectful, kind and forgiving to each other. Let us be filled with gratitude and gladness.
After all, “Our Journey Together is so Short !!”
